Tasks
Task types
Section titled “Task types”Tasks come in two types:
- Responsibility tasks track habits with no monetary reward. Making the bed or reading for 20 minutes are typical examples.
- Earns tasks pay a set amount when completed. Watering the plants or walking the dog can each have their own rate.
Creating a task
Section titled “Creating a task”Go to Manage > Tasks and tap Add task. Give it a name, pick an emoji, choose a reward type, and set which days of the week it applies. Assign it to one or more kids.
For Earns tasks, set the reward amount and decide whether you want to approve each completion before the money is paid out.
Approval
Section titled “Approval”When a kid marks an Earns task as done, it waits in a pending state until you approve or decline it.
- Approve pays the reward into their account.
- Decline cancels the completion without payment.
Tasks set to instant-approve pay out the moment the kid ticks them off, with no review step.
Today’s tasks
Section titled “Today’s tasks”The Tasks > Today view shows all pending completions across every kid for today. Approve or decline each one individually, or tap Bulk Approve to clear the queue at once.
Task history
Section titled “Task history”Open any task and tap History to see every completion, approval, and decline over time.
Editing and deleting tasks
Section titled “Editing and deleting tasks”Tasks can be edited from Manage > Tasks. Deleting a task removes it going forward but preserves its history.
